What is RPP?

The APM's Registered Project Professional (RPP) is a pan-sector standard that allows holders to demonstrate the necessary competencies and leadership skills required to manage and deliver a complex project using appropriate tools, processes and techniques.

Public recognition and independent verification of project capabilities
Improves career prospects
Publicly listed on the APM Register of Project Professionals
RPP holders have a recognised route to becoming a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP)

Who should apply?

RPP is for anyone who has either:

a minimum of 7 years' experience of working in project, programme or portfolio management or in a key control function or;
achieved the APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or APM Practitioner Qualification (PQ). Holders of these qualifications will undertake a reduced written submission.

The APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) standard is a professional benchmark that demonstrates attainment of a defined level of technical knowledge, professional practice and ethical behaviour.

Are you eligible for ChPP?

ChPP is for anyone that meets the following criteria. You need to be 'professionally active'. This means:
a) having a proven track record delivering projects, programmes, portfolios or a key control or enabling function; and
b) having up-to-date knowledge of current practices and methods; and
c) being actively involved in the project management profession.
If the majority of evidence provided in your application is more than five years old, you can still apply, you will just need to explain how you continue to meet points b) and c) above.
