Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)

The APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) is an entry-level course ideal for those new to project management. It provides a comprehensive overview of essential concepts, including project planning, risk management, quality control, and communication strategies.

By studying the PFQ with ILX, you’ll gain a solid foundation in managing small to medium projects, learning to define roles, create project plans, and understand lifecycles. This certification will give you the skills you need to support project teams effectively, and it lays the groundwork for further professional development in project management.

Project Management Qualification (PMQ)

The APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) is a comprehensive certification designed for project managers with experience looking to develop their expertise. This course covers advanced project management principles, such as budgeting, resource management, leadership, communication, and risk management.

Through ILX’s APM PMQ training, you’ll master skills to lead complex projects, manage diverse teams, and align projects with organisational objectives. Completing the PMQ demonstrates a high level of project management competency, equipping you to handle challenging project scenarios and progress into senior project roles with confidence and capability.

Project Risk Management Level 1

The APM Project Risk Management Level 1 course provides a focused foundation in identifying, assessing, and managing project risks. It has been designed for project professionals who have already completed APM PMQ and are looking to enhance their risk management skills.

Project Risk Management Level 1 covers core topics like risk planning, response strategies, and monitoring techniques. You’ll learn to evaluate risk impacts, develop mitigation plans, and communicate risk effectively within project teams. Completing this course equips you with essential skills to improve project resilience, enabling you to manage uncertainties confidently and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Project Risk Management Level 2

This course follows on from the Level 1 qualification, and while you can take the Level 2 course without first taking Level 1, it is assumed that you will have the knowledge that is taught in the first course.

The difference between the two certifications is that Level 1 assesses your knowledge of risk management, ensuring you can effectively contribute to risk management within a project. Whereas, Level 2 evaluates your knowledge, understanding, and practical skills, enabling you to perform formal project risk management independently.

What our customers say
Testimonial
A consistent framework

“We have a lot of people outside our designated PMO who need to run projects. These individuals don’t need all the details, but developing the fundamental understanding taught by the APM PFQ certification and the training delivered by ILX is ideal. It’s allowed us to implement a consistent framework across the organisation, so all our employees are speaking the same language.”
