Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Qualifications and Training
You have to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI)® before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol as they have to authenticate that the pre-requisite criteria has been met prior to exam attendance. In order to understand the PMI process we recommend you review the CAPM handbook on the PMI website.
If you are considering taking the exam the examination pre-requisites are as follows:
- Have a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED (general educational development), or global equivalent
- Have at least 23 contact hours of project management education completed before the exam
The CAPM exam is not included with ILX courses.
- 150 multiple-choice questions. Of the 150 questions, 15 are considered pretest questions. Pretest questions do not affect the score and are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate way to test the validity of future examination questions. All questions are placed throughout the examination randomly
- Three hour duration
