TOGAF® EA – Foundation Virtual

Attendees of EA Learning’s TOGAF® EA - Foundation course will be equipped with the knowledge to become certified for:

• TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation.

The TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation certification provides validation that an individual has the basic knowledge and understanding of the Enterprise Architecture using the TOGAF® approach, sufficient to be able to contribute to an architecture project or work with the results. The learning objectives at this level focus on knowledge and comprehension. Certified individuals will have the following competencies:

• A common language with TOGAF® practitioners
• A basic understanding of the TOGAF® approach for Enterprise Architecture, including Agile delivery and application in a Digital enterprise
• The prerequisite qualification for becoming a TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner.

Following the TOGAF® curriculum, our TOGAF® EA - Foundation course teaches you the fundamental building blocks. This gives you sufficient knowledge and understanding to contribute to an architectural project and work with the results. You will learn:

• The concepts of Enterprise Architecture and the TOGAF® Standard, 10th Edition
• The common language the TOGAF® Standard provides for EA Professionals around the world
• The Architecture Development Method (ADM) a step-by-step guide of the phases needed to develop or change an enterprise architecture
• The techniques available to support application of the ADM
• About applying the ADM, including use of iteration, partitioning, and application in a Digital enterprise
• How Architecture Governance contributes to architecture development
• About Architecture content — the outputs produced while executing the ADM.

The TOGAF® certification program is knowledge-based. The TOGAF certification program is a market-driven education and certification program that ensures individuals have knowledge and understanding of the TOGAF Body of Knowledge. Certification is only achieved by passing the examination at your home or in your office using Pearson VUE OnVUE delivery or at a Pearson VUE test center.

To become certified for TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation attendees must pass the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Part 1 exam. This is a multiple-choice examination consisting of 40 questions to be answered within 60 minutes. The Pass Mark is 24/40 (60%). It is a supervised, closed book exam.

At the end of the training, you will be prepared to sit your certification exams. Your exam voucher will be distributed at the completion of your class; you can then make appointments for your exam with Pearson VUE. The exam voucher is valid for 12 months.

NOTE: Attendees of TOGAF® EA - Foundation are only eligible to receive the exam voucher for the TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation exam. If you wish to receive the TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner exam voucher, you must complete the TOGAF® EA – Foundation and Practitioner course.

The Open Group publishes the definitive directory of certified individuals, and issues certificates and Open Badges. The duration of certification is indefinite – certification is to a given version of the Body of Knowledge and does not expire, so there are no re-certification or renewal requirements.

Knowledge of TOGAF® is highly useful to anybody involved in business transformation and capability improvement, including Enterprise, Business and IT Architects, Business and Systems Analysts, as well as Business Executives and Managers, Program, Project and Change Managers, and Subject Matter Experts.

This training course is for anybody involved in the development and application of architecture including:

• Individuals who need a basic understanding of a proven Enterprise Architecture methodology.
• Individuals who work for or join an organization applying the TOGAF® Standard.
• Individuals actively leading or contributing to organisational transformation.
• Individuals who need to start to learn the TOGAF method.
• Individuals who want to achieve the TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner qualification in a stepwise manner, or other certifications and certification credentials from The Open Group where this certification is a prerequisite.
• Individuals working in Agile environments who need to understand and apply Enterprise Architecture using the TOGAF Standard.

There are no prerequisites. A prior knowledge of Enterprise Architecture is advantageous but not required.
