Chances are you have heard of many of our training courses at ILX, but you may not know what they’re about, or what their benefits are. So, in this blog, we’re going to give you a rundown of a couple of the courses, what they entail and the skills you can gain.
Completing a project management course equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively plan, execute, and close projects.
There are many benefits to our project management training, including:
First up, our Managing Successful Programmes course, or MSP for short. Working from the ground up, MSP training introduces programme management, the difference between programmes and projects, and the different types of programmes. It goes on to cover process information such as programme lifecycles, organisation, planning and control, risk management, quality assurance and much more.

Training in MSP is suited to a whole host of roles, including but not limited to newly appointed Programme Managers, programme office staff and experienced Project Managers.
The advanced MSP training can also benefit Programme Directors, Business Change Managers and Change Auditors, as it couples practical experience with the theory of MSP, to fully encompass the delegate’s understanding of real-world application.
Our MSP training will arm delegates with the knowledge and understanding of the MSP method at a strategic level, allowing them to contribute and make improvements at their organisation. It provides the framework to effectively manage transformational change, and ensure processes are applied appropriately to suit the organisation’s circumstances.
Next up, P3O! The P3O model is a structure covering Portfolio, Programme and Project Office guidance, and is aligned with our other best practice courses – PRINCE2®, MSP and M_o_R. It brings together a set of principles, processes, and techniques to facilitate effective portfolio, programme, and project management.
The P3O guidance provides a structure which enables effective decision making and project delivery for all change transformations. The training is designed to ensure delegates understand the structure and reasons for establishing a P3O model. It covers roles, tools, and techniques along with the processes that enable business change to remain aligned with corporate strategic objectives.

Suited to organisations large and small alike, the Foundation and Practitioner courses are ideal for SROs/Programme Directors or Managers, Portfolio/Programme/Project Office Managers and support staff.
During the course, delegates will gain knowledge of the internationally recognised best practice terminology, structure, basic concepts, and core principles of P3O. Adopting P3O offers a host of benefits, from developing decision-making processes to helping candidates achieve strategic objectives.

Our Change Management training is available at both Foundation and Practitioner levels. The courses look at the effects and management of change, covering both theory and application.
