ITIL ® - Computer Based Training
Organisational Licences and Packages
Once you have taken the decision to adopt ITIL, you will often need to look at the most cost effective way of training as many people as possible, for as little cost as possible. Having already provided ITIL training to companies world-wide, we know that we can provide you with a quality product that works. Consider for a moment that we probably train more people worldwide through our interactive computer based training courses than all the other classroom training companies combined. So we know that it works and we can make it work for you.
You will also finds that some staff are intimidated by the exam process, many of them not having taken exams for several years. With ILX they will have the reassurance of out easy to use CBT to constantly confirm their learning, our full telephone tutor support and our exceptional pass rates.
We are sure that you may think that some of your students would prefer classroom training or interaction with other students, and you may still be comparing our courses with the bland "text on pages" that have become so often termed "e-learning" or "computer based training" – The ILX courses are nothing of the sort! The ILX ITIL Foundation course provides fast paced interactive computer based training and is a completely integrated training course for organisations that wish to train to Foundation exam level. The course combines multiple voices, with animations and interactive exercises allowing learning at a time and pace to suit each and every student. The course will take around 8-12 hours to complete, is fully accredited by the APM Group and consists of several topics. We help your students with support from our trainers and also provide additional support material, a “live” case study, templates and a fully simulated mock exam to allow students to test themselves prior to taking the actual exam.
We deliver this CBT course via CD-ROM/Network/Intranet or via your LMS. Once students have completed their initial Foundation training and are ready to sit their final exam we can help you organise your exams onsite or via one of our exam centers. The intranet and internet versions are also available for SCORM AICC compliant Learning Management Systems (LMS) and can be hosted if required.

How do companies use our course? - Here are some scenarios!
Company A
The Challenge: - This company had already decided to use ITIL and had an ongoing training requirement; students could apply to be trained as required and had a choice between Classroom and Multimedia training.
The solution: - An Intranet license of the multimedia course was purchased allowing access at any time, either at their desk or at the learning area. Students were set a target of a 65% pass rate in the mock exam simulator, once achieved they were put forward for the ITIL Foundation exam. The built in admin module allowed the training department to track student usage and provide additional support for students with low ongoing marks.
Company B
The Challenge: - They wanted to train over 100 people to ITIL Foundation level, and of those, another 50 to Practitioner level. Cost was an issue.
The Solution: - The company purchased a network license for the ITIL Foundation course, giving all students online access and allowing them study time. A target was set for a pass rate of 65% in the simulated exam for Foundation level students, and 80% for Practitioner level.
On the day of each of the exams, an exam workshop was held, where in the morning a trainer talked through ITIL to ensure everyone had a clear understanding, and the exam was taken in the afternoon. There was a 100% pass rate.
The Practitioner workshops were run as 3 day workshops plus 1 day exam, giving a little extra time to review Practitioner level. This resulted in a pass rate of 88% plus, well above average.
Company C
The Challenge:- They wanted to train 100 people in stages, not everyone at once. Then implement what they had learnt module by module.
The Solution:- They bought a 100 user licence, the Service Desk Manager split the group of people into 3 teams and used a project plan to co-ordinate the training and implementation of ITIL. Their aim is to run this project over a 10 month period. Once all modules are completed we will help them organise exams onsite. This project is still ongoing.
