Introducing our new Cloud Architect Learning Path

Cloud is essentially the provision of software applications and databases that are run on virtual servers and accessed by multiple users through the Internet.

It is also a highly attractive career and a sought-after field to gain skills in, as there are many different cloud solutions available these days:

  • Public
  • Private
  • Hybrid
  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
  • Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
  • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

What will you learn on our Cloud Architect Learning Path?

This learning path will teach you about three of the top cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. It is structured in six steps, and then there are five electives – here’s an outline of each step:

Step 1 – AWS Solutions Architect: this step is aligned to the most up to date AWS exam featuring Amazon designated best practices, and will teach learners how to design, plan and scale AWS implementations – so that you’ll be able to:

  • Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS
  • Select the appropriate AWS service based on data, compute, database, or security requirements
  • Estimate AWS costs and identify cost control mechanisms
  • And more…

Step 2 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: in this step, learners will be taught about the main principles of cloud computing and how they’ve been implemented in Microsoft Azure. You will also learn about Azure services, security, privacy, compliance, trust, pricing, and support. By the end of this step, you’ll be able to:

  • Describe and create Azure web apps
  • Create and configure VMs in Microsoft Azure
  • Describe and deploy databases in Azure
  • And more…

Step 3 – Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate:104: learn the activities that Azure administrators will undertake on the platform, including implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment; plus provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources, when needed. You’ll also be able to:

  • Manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) objects
  • Configure Azure files and Azure Blob Storage
  • Integrate an on-premises network with an Azure virtual network
  • And more…

Step 4 – Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions AZ-305: prepare for your career as an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect with this step. Gain understanding about how decisions in each area affect an overall solution and insights into how to design cloud and hybrid solutions that run on Microsoft Azure, and more. By the end of this step, you’ll be able to:

  • Design a compute solution
  • Design an application architecture
  • Design a solution for backup and disaster recovery
  • And more…
