The M_o_R Foundation course is based on the ‘Management of Risk – Guidance for Practitioners’ publication, and provides a best-practice approach to the essential elements of risk management. The purpose of the Foundation qualification is to confirm that a you have sufficient knowledge and understanding to contribute to the identification, assessment and control of risks across any organisational perspective.
What is virtual training?
Virtual training incorporates both the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner. This is an intensive three-day course that prepares you for the M_o_R Foundation examination. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found here. In addition, whilst attending your course, there will also be some examination preparation evening work.
By the end of the course you should understand the structure, basic concepts and terminology within the M_o_R Guide. Specifically, you should for any organizational perspective:
For last-minute bookings (10 working days or less before start date), you will be issued with digital materials – this will include all accompanying course materials (usually a workbook) and a manual, if this is included as part of your purchase.
The course materials will be provided in a PDF format and available for download via our virtual platform on the first day of the course. You will need to download and save the materials to your device, so that you can annotate them during the training course.
Your digital course manual will be sent as a PDF/eBook via email from TSO Customer Services (customer.service@tso.co.uk), and will only be compatible with Adobe Digital Editions. Therefore you will need to have this installed on your device.

A concentrated course that requires you to complete mandatory online pre-course study, which is designed to take approximately three to four hours to complete. Full instructions with a link to the online pre-course will be issued within 48 hours of your confirmed booking.

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. Two weeks prior to course commencement ILX will arrange for an exam voucher to be issued. You then have a choice, you can either:
