Content Marketing Executive

At ILX, we're expanding our global marketing activity, and looking for a Content Marketing Executive to join our growing team. The marketing team was based in Bracknell before the pandemic hit. We will soon be moving to a hybrid working model when we return to the office in the new year, but for now we are now a fully distributed workforce, with all team members currently working from home.

What will you be doing?

The Content Marketing Executive is responsible for writing copy for all types of marketing activity and sales collateral, for both B2B and B2C audiences. We're looking for someone who loves words, and has meticulous attention to detail when it comes to spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Day-to-day activity will include:

  • Drafting copy for a high volume of weekly marketing emails for a wide range of geographical territories, promoting our training courses, blogs, podcasts and webinars
  • Planning, scheduling and running the monthly calendar of live webinars
  • Creating sales collateral such as flyers and brochures
  • Writing content pieces, such as blogs, social posts and web pages
  • Working in close collaboration with our web agency to improve the website UX
  • Work with the rest of the marketing team to plan, execute, and measure our integrated digital marketing campaigns

Desired skills and experience

We're looking for an enthusiastic team player, ideally with at least 1 years' experience working in a similar marketing role, or a fast learner who has excellent written skills.

You will be working closely with all members of the marketing team and our web agency on a daily basis. You will also need to collaborate with internal stakeholders within our sales and operations teams, to ensure campaigns are fully aligned across the business, and to maximise channels and sales integration.

Our perfect candidate will have faultless written English, to draft compelling copy for digital, social and e-marketing activity. We're looking for someone with incredible attention to detail and excellent organisational skills — you will need to have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload effectively!

Essential:

  • Creative, entrepreneurial, and happy to drive through own initiatives
  • An English Language degree or similar

Useful experience to have:

  • Working with CRM platforms (Pardot, Salesforce)
  • Managing websites, using a CMS
  • International marketing – the challenges and logistics
  • Knowledge and understanding of lead generation (B2B and B2C)
  • An understanding of SEO and PPC
  • Knowledge of the learning and development industry

The successful candidate will combine technical skills with operational management experience to deliver effective solutions that aligns IT with the business strategy by working closely with stakeholders, suppliers and technology platforms.

About this role

The Business Analyst role is responsible for the core business systems used by our organisation in the delivery of our training and consultancy services. A varied role, the successful applicant will be work across all aspects of our business systems ranging from understanding user requirements to configuration changes to systems such as Salesforce.com, working closely with our third-party partners who support our key business systems, and participating in internal change projects to further integrate and automate our existing suite of IT systems.

This is a hands-on role in which the successful candidate will demonstrate success in the role by developing knowledge across all business functions (i.e. finance, business development, HR and communications), and implementing plans and strategies to enhance and improve business performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Business partnering to ensure functionality meets the organisation’s needs, and scoping change projects
  • Acting as the technical lead to assist the business in deciding priorities for improvement, creating cost-benefit analysis and business case documents
  • Scoping business system projects, including new system rollouts, integrations and system enhancements
  • Developing IT solutions to enable the business to be more efficient and provide better experiences for its stakeholders. This involves hands-on configuration of Salesforce, designing optimal workflows, use case testing, document writing and process design.
  • Working with our third-party partners to specify, scope and implement significant system changes
  • Communicating regularly with the system users (in particular, Salesforce.com users) to support them in their role and provide information and training on new features and functionality
  • Creating ad-hoc reports and performing analysis on the data
  • Maintaining key system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity
  • Providing 1st line helpdesk support for our core applications. Managing securities, permissions and data migration requirements
  • Undertake other tasks and duties as required

    • Supporting workflow that uses multiple systems
  • Experience of working with Salesforce in geographically dispersed organisation – ADM201 certified (or working towards) desirable

  • Experience of working with/implementing a corporate performance management/business intelligence system
