The Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to join StayAhead Training as a Database Trainer, delivering high‑quality learning experiences to a wide range of clients. Working remotely, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering our Oracle, Oracle (SQL) PostGreSQL, MySQL training programmes and related consultancy services—both virtually and in person. Your work will directly support learners in developing real‑world capability across Database Administration, Advanced Administration, Backup and Recovery, Installation and Upgrades, and Performance Tuning. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of our course portfolio, ensuring our training remains current, relevant, and aligned with industry best practice.

About You

You bring at least two years of hands‑on training experience, with Oracle, Oracle (SQL) and ideally PostGreSQL, and you’re confident presenting to diverse audiences. You have a natural ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapting your approach to suit different learning styles and levels of experience. Your communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport quickly, while your organisational strengths help you manage multiple priorities with ease. Whether you’ve worked in a corporate training environment or a similar teaching role, you’re passionate about helping others grow their skills and succeed.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will deliver StayAhead’s established database training courses as well as contribute to the creation and enhancement of new materials. You’ll design and produce courseware, develop engaging modules, and tailor content to meet the needs of both public and in‑house clients. Your sessions will be interactive, practical, and grounded in best practice, ensuring learners leave with the confidence to apply their knowledge in real project environments. You will stay up to date with industry developments, incorporating new techniques and insights into your training. Alongside delivery, you’ll support our sales teams by contributing to proposals, assisting with client pitches, and helping identify new opportunities. You may also play a part in marketing activity, including writing blogs, whitepapers, or case studies that showcase your expertise.

What you get in return/Why join StayAhead Training?

At StayAhead Training, you’ll join a respected and forward‑thinking organisation known for its high‑quality technical training. You’ll have the freedom to work remotely while still being part of a collaborative, supportive team that values your ideas and professional growth. Your contribution will be recognised, and you’ll be part of a company that genuinely invests in its people.
