Getting started

Understand the drivers of human behaviour and emotions, including key triggers like perceived threat and injustice. Consider the connection between emotion and behaviour. 

Self-awareness and self-regulation

Put the introductory theory into practice by considering your own emotions and the behaviours they produce. Learn to identify, understand, process and consequently regulate your responses in an appropriate way. 

Impacting the emotional intelligence of others

Gain an understanding in how to help others develop their emotional intelligence, as well as be able to influence their emotions and reasoning in moments of need. 

Classic “thinking traps”

Get to grips with concepts that can unknowingly affect our thinking processes and consequent emotions, such as confirmation bias and in-group/out-group thinking.
