Cloud is essentially the provision of software applications and databases that are run on virtual servers and accessed by multiple users through the Internet.
It is also a highly attractive career and a sought-after field to gain skills in, as there are many different cloud solutions available these days:
This learning path will teach you about three of the top cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. It is structured in six steps, and then there are five electives – here’s an outline of each step:
Step 1 – AWS Solutions Architect: this step is aligned to the most up to date AWS exam featuring Amazon designated best practices, and will teach learners how to design, plan and scale AWS implementations – so that you’ll be able to:
Step 2 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: in this step, learners will be taught about the main principles of cloud computing and how they’ve been implemented in Microsoft Azure. You will also learn about Azure services, security, privacy, compliance, trust, pricing, and support. By the end of this step, you’ll be able to:
Step 3 – Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate:104: learn the activities that Azure administrators will undertake on the platform, including implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment; plus provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources, when needed. You’ll also be able to:
Step 4 – Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions AZ-305: prepare for your career as an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect with this step. Gain understanding about how decisions in each area affect an overall solution and insights into how to design cloud and hybrid solutions that run on Microsoft Azure, and more. By the end of this step, you’ll be able to:
Step 5 – Google Cloud Platform Architect Training: with this step you will introduce you to the comprehensive and flexible infrastructure and platform services provided by Google Cloud Platform. It covers IAM, Networking, cloud storage, and will also help you learn how to analyse and deploy infrastructure components such as networks, storage systems, and application services. After you’ve completed this step, you’ll be able to:
Step 6 – Cloud Capstone Project: this last step will provide dedicated mentoring sessions so that you can learn how to solve a real-world, industry-aligned problem. It will also help you demonstrate your learnings to future employers.
After all steps have been completed in line with the required criteria, learners will receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’. As part of the learning path, learners will also have access to these five electives:
