Linux networking & services

Get familiar with networking tools and service management in Ubuntu. You’ll set up and troubleshoot IPv4/IPv6, configure DNS and hostname resolution, use SSH securely, capture and analyse network traffic, and work with systemd and time synchronisation. This prepares you to manage services across varied infrastructure setups. 

Security, logging and containerisation

Protect systems with built-in Ubuntu tools like UFW and AppArmor. You’ll handle journaling and log rotation using rsyslog and journalctl, manage backup and restore processes, clone devices using dd, and explore Docker container deployment—helping you run and recover services securely and efficiently.
