Scrum Product Owner Classroom

By the end of this course, you should as a minimum be able to recall, recognize and demonstrate understanding of the concepts, roles, events, artefacts and expanded guidance outlined in the text, including terms used, process steps and roles involved.

Specifically, Product Owners should be able to demonstrate this understanding in the context of their accountabilities for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the scrum team and effectively managing the product backlog which includes:

• Developing and explicitly communicating the product goal;
• Creating and clearly communicating product backlog items;
• Ordering product backlog items; and,
• Ensuring that the product backlog is transparent, visible and understood.

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. Two working days prior to course commencement ILX will arrange for an exam voucher to be issued. You will then be able to book a suitable time after your classroom event has finished to undertake your exams.

Note: You are responsible for booking your own exam(s).

Exam format

The Scrum Product Owner course prepares you for the examination which includes:

• 50 multiple choice question
• Closed book
• 40 minutes
• Pass mark 37 out of 50 (74%)

This qualification is primarily aimed at individuals wanting to build their competence as a Scrum Product Owner, potentially in preparation for taking on that role or as somebody already in the role who wants to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities correctly.

There are no formal pre-requisites required to take this exam.

Important note regarding pre-course

There is mandatory online pre-course work that must be undertaken prior to attending this course. It is expected that it will take approximately two to three hours to complete. You will be sent full instructions with a link to the online pre course within 48 hours of your confirmed booking.

In addition, whilst attending your course there will also be some examination preparation evening work.
