APMG-International Managing Benefits™ Practitioner Virtual

Taught by our passionate and highly-experienced trainers, our virtual courses allow you to experience an ILX classroom environment, where you can ask questions and interact with others on the course, but without having to leave your house.

Course overview

About the course

The purpose of the Managing Benefits guidance and certification scheme is to provide managers and practitioners from multiple disciplines, working in a variety of organisations, with generally applicable guidance encompassing benefits management principles, practices and techniques. The Practitioner level aims to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor the guidance in a scenario situation.

What is virtual classroom training?

ILX’s virtual instructor-led training combines the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner.

Duration

This is an intensive two-day course that prepares you for the Managing Benefits Practitioner examination. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found on our website here.

By the end of the course you should be able to:

  • Plan the implementation of benefits management, select appropriate strategies to sustain and measure progress;
  • Select and adapt principles, practices and techniques to suit different organizational environments;
  • Identify activities that should be undertaken during each of the practices of the benefits management cycle together with the accountabilities and responsibilities of each of the defined roles;
  • Evaluate examples of benefits management information (documents);
  • Analyse the solutions adopted in relation to a given scenario

This is an intensive two-day virtual classroom course that includes:

  • All accompanying course material
  • The cost of the Managing Benefits Practitioner exam (must be taken online via remote proctor within 12 months of purchase)

Materials

For last-minute bookings (10 working days or less before start date), you will be issued with digital materials – this will include all accompanying course materials (usually a workbook) and a manual, if this is included as part of your purchase.

The course materials will be provided in a PDF format and available for download via our virtual platform on the first day of the course. You will need to download and save the materials to your device, so that you can annotate them during the training course.

If you would like to add a manual to your order, this will be sent as a PDF/eBook via email from APMG (ATOBookorders@apmgroup.co.uk), and will only be compatible with Adobe Digital Editions. Therefore you will need to have this installed on your device.

If you would like to receive a physical copy of the manual, please get in touch with a member of our team, and they will talk you through your options.

The Practitioner exam is taken online via remote proctor. Two weeks prior to course commencement ILX will arrange for an exam voucher to be issued. You then have a choice you can either:

  • Book a suitable time after your virtual classroom event has finished to undertake your exam

OR

  • We currently allocate exam time within the virtual classroom event. So that you can book directly, we will advise you of recommended exam timings as part of the candidate guidance — this is issued three weeks prior to course commencement

Note: You are responsible for booking your own exam.

The format of the Practitioner exam is as follows:

  • Objective testing
