The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)® will enhance your ability to identify and assess project risks, minimise threats and maximise opportunities.

About the course

This elearning has been designed to help you understand the processes of risk management which in turn will allow you to identify, assess, analyse and mitigate project risk. The elearning can help prepare you for the PMI Risk Management Professional (RMP) certification which upon passing demonstrates knowledge and skill in assessing, identifying, and controlling various risks.

 

Duration

Approximately seven hours.

Pre-requisites

The PMI-RMP exam is not included with this course.

If you do want to take the exam please be aware that you have to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI)® before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol as they have to authenticate that the pre-requisite criteria has been met prior to exam attendance. You will then pay the exam fee directly to the PMI to schedule your exam. In order to understand the PMI process we recommend you review the detailed information in the PMI - RMP® Credential Handbook.

The PMI–RMP certification requires:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)
  • 36 months of project risk management experience within the last 5 years
  • 40 hours of project risk management education

OR

  • Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 24 months of project risk management experience within the last 5 years
  • 30 hours of project risk management education

  • Identify, analyze, and monitor project risks
  • Learn how to adapt risk management practices to specific project situations
  • Implement a solid risk management methodology
