What you'll learn
The AgileDS Foundation & Practitioner course offers a comprehensive approach to creating and delivering digital services in Agile environments. You’ll learn the lifecycle of Agile projects, how to use techniques such as iterative development, sprints and prioritisation, improve user-centred design, and be able to deliver value-driven outcomes.
Theoretical knowledge
Develop a deep understanding of the principles and philosophy that underpin the AgileDS approach. You’ll explore the framework’s structure, lifecycle and key artefacts, as well as the team members needed for effective digital service delivery. This theoretical knowledge forms the foundation for applying AgileDS in real-world scenarios.
Practical application
The course emphasises the practical application of AgileDS principles. You’ll learn how to adapt the service lifecycle to meet project requirements, utilise Agile techniques such as MoSCoW prioritisation and timeboxing, and ensure user needs are central to delivery. Through scenario-based exercises you’ll develop the confidence to implement AgileDS strategies in your organisation.
Exam preparation
A significant focus of the course is on preparing you for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams. With this Foundation & Practitioner course, you’ll master the essentials of AgileDS and learn how to apply them in practice to deliver digital services that exceed customer expectations.
How are the AgileDS Foundation and Practitioner exams structured?
The Foundation exam is multiple choice and closed book. You will have 40 minutes to answer 50 questions and must achieve a score of 25 out of 50 (50%) to pass.
The Practitioner exam is complex multiple choice and open book (official AgileDS handbook only). You will have two and a half hours to answer four questions, worth 20 marks each, you must achieve a score of 40 out of 80 (50%) to pass.

Yes, the AgileDS Foundation & Practitioner course is available in our live virtual classroom study option. You’ll learn from one of our expert trainers in an online classroom environment.

There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation course. However, before taking the Practitioner exam you must first have passed the Foundation certification and completed all associated ILX learning for both courses.
