APMG-International Managing Benefits™ Foundation & Practitioner virtual

Our virtual courses give you all the benefits and interactivity of classroom learning, but from the comfort of your own home.

About the course

This course guides you both the Foundation and Practitioner elements of the Managing Benefits qualification helping you to fully prepare for both examinations . The Foundation level aims to measure whether you have understood the benefits management principles, practices, techniques, roles, responsibilities and documents. Whereas the Practitioner level aims to confirm whether you have achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor the guidance in a scenario situation.

What is virtual classroom training?

ILX’s virtual instructor-led training combines the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner.

Duration

This is an intensive five-day course that prepares you for the Managing Benefits Foundation amd Practitioner examination. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found on our website here.

Pre-requisites

You must pass the Foundation exam prior to taking the Practitioner exam.

Learning objectives

By the end of the Foundation element of the course you should be able to understand and describe the following:

  • Definitions, scope and objectives of benefits management, barriers to its effective practice, and the key success characteristics
  • Principles upon which successful approaches to benefits management are based
  • Five practices contained within the benefits management cycle and relevant techniques applicable to each practice
  • Scope of key roles and responsibilities for benefits management and the typical contents of the main benefits management documentation
  • Approaches to implementation and the factors to consider in sustaining progress.

By attending the Practitioner element of the course you will learn:

  • Planning the implementation of benefits management, select appropriate strategies to sustain and measure progress.
  • Selecting and adapt principles, practices and techniques to suit different organizational environments.
  • Identifying activities that should be undertaken during each of the practices of the Benefits Management Cycle together with the accountabilities and responsibilities of each of the defined roles.
  • Evaluating examples of benefits management information (documents).
  • Analysing the solutions adopted in relation to a given scenario.

This is an intensive five-day virtual classroom course, that: includes the following

  • All accompanying course material
  • The official manual
  • The cost of the Managing Benefits Foundation and Practitioner exam (must be taken online via remote proctor within 12 months of purchase)

Materials

For last-minute bookings (10 working days or less before start date), you will be issued with digital materials – this will include all accompanying course materials (usually a workbook) and a manual, if this is included as part of your purchase.

The course materials will be provided in a PDF format and available for download via our virtual platform on the first day of the course. You will need to download and save the materials to your device, so that you can annotate them during the training course.

Your digital course manual will be sent as a PDF/eBook via email from APMG (ATOBookorders@apmgroup.co.uk), and will only be compatible with Adobe Digital Editions. Therefore you will need to have this installed on your device.

If you would like to receive a physical copy of the manual, please get in touch with a member of our team, and they will talk you through your options.
