About the course

The ever-changing and dynamic nature of today’s projects highlights the need for proactive management of people, the project strategy and approach, along with the application of sound commercial and project management techniques.This is an internationally-recognised knowledge-based qualification that enables you to understand the breadth of skills required to successfully manage a project undertaking.

Course format

This course includes:

  • PMQ accredited e-learning (Directed Development)
  • Attendance at eight, three-hour online revision workshop sessions. These sessions are available online, once a month and must be booked in advance (Guided Learning)
  • Over 40 hours of additional learning resources to help support exam preparation (Directed Development)

Duration

Please be advised that the APM recommends approximately 75 hours preparation time for the PMQ examination.

  • The e-learning is expected to take approximately 32 hours.
  • You must attend a minimum of eight online revision workshops which equates to 24 hours.
  • Access to over 40 hours of additional learning resources to help support exam preparation. You must complete a minimum of eight hours but we recommend you complete them all.

You must complete all learning prior to undertaking the exam.

  • 55% required to pass

The course is designed for individuals from both the public and private sector. It is for people working in the management of projects, ranging from individual assignments through to those working on large capital or change projects. Individuals will typically have some pre existing project management knowledge as this is not an entry level qualification.
