About the course

This four day intensive virtual course provides everything you need to fully prepare you for the AgileDS Foundation and Practitioner examinations. Agile Digital Services (AgileDS) provides a consistent approach, common language and a skilled workforce for the successful design, delivery and evolution of digital service. The AgileDS guidance is aligned to the Service Manual of Government Digital Service, the UK Government’s department responsible for digital transformation.

By the end of the Foundation-level qualification you should have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Agile Digital Services guidance to be able to recognise and distinguish between the key elements of the approach. The Practitioner-level qualification confirms that that you not only have sufficient knowledge and understanding of Agile Digital Services guidance, but that you have the ability to apply and tailor it to a given scenario situation.

What is virtual classroom training?

ILX’s virtual instructor-led training combines the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner. Duration

This is an intensive four-day course that helps prepares you for the AgileDS Foundation & Practitioner examinations. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found on our website here.

Pre-requisites

The formal pre-requisite is that you must pass the AgileDS Foundation exam prior to undertaking the AgileDS Practitioner examination.

Additionally in order to attend the AgileDS Practitioner course you must have attended the ILX AgileDS Foundation course and passed the exam.

The artefacts produced during an agile digital services project and their purpose
The techniques used and their benefits and limitations

Apply the underpinning philosophy and principles of agile digital services in a project situation
Appropriately configure the lifecycle of an agile digital services project to a given scenario
Produce and evaluate the content of agile digital services products produced during an agile project in a given scenario
Apply the following agile digital services techniques in a project situation: facilitated workshops; MoSCoW prioritisation; iterative development; building incrementally; timeboxing; user needs; user experience
Identify the agile digital services techniques to be used for a given situation within a scenario
Understand the roles and responsibilities within an agile digital services project and correctly determine the appropriate personnel to fulfil these roles within a given scenario
Understand the mechanisms for planning, control and governance of an agile digital services project which are specific to an agile project

There is no mandatory pre-course for this course however there will be some evening work.

HOW YOU TAKE YOUR EXAM

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. Two weeks prior to course commencement ILX will arrange for an exam voucher to be issued. You then have a choice you can either:

Book a suitable time after your virtual classroom event has finished to undertake your exam(s)

We currently allocate exam time within the virtual classroom event. So that you can book directly, we will advise you of recommended exam timings as part of the candidate guidance — this is issued three weeks prior to course commencement

Note: You are responsible for booking your own exam(s). You must pass Foundation prior to taking the Practitioner examination.
