Project management supports the whole organisation to deliver many types of projects and initiatives, including business process improvement, change management, digital transformation, manufacturing, product development, research and development and service delivery optimisations.
As organisations look to the future, their ability to recruit and develop project management talent is increasingly aligned with their success. However, project and programme management skills are in high demand, making it difficult to attract and retain talent.
Apprenticeships can help address this challenge, as they provide organisations with an opportunity to fill skills gaps, support career development, reskill, upskill and cross skill existing employees and ultimately grow the organisation with the competencies needed to run projects that increase efficiencies and drive improvements.
ILX offers the Project Management Associate Level 4 Apprenticeship, a standard designed to grow and develop talented project managers. The ILX apprenticeship is a 15-18 months' training and development programme, covering both theory and application through highly engaging and interactive e-learning, virtual one-to-one and group support sessions, work-based and tutor-marked assignments, mock examinations and an exam preparation workshop. The apprenticeship programme equips apprentices with the must-have knowledge, skills and behaviours to support the successful delivery of projects within their organisation.
Our adaptive programme leads to the APM PMQ qualification, a proven standard for project managers globally. It provides a personalised learning journey, where training and development content is tailored to the apprentice role and environment.
A dedicated APM-qualified skills coach will support the apprentice through the entire learner journey to help them understand the standard, apply their newly-gained knowledge to the workplace, and provide guidance in developing a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence.
Skills tutors are available to support learners on a continual basis, and the flexible learning pathways and workplace visits ensure minimal business disruption. Our apprenticeships are based on the 70:20:10 learning model and are built using a blend of the following components. Below is a summary:
