The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) certification is the most exclusive qualification for the Lean Six Sigma quality management methodology. It is the final stage of the Masters programme that will place you as an expert in implementing Lean, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Six Sigma Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control (DMAIC) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

There are no pre-requisites to get the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. However it is recommended that those taking the exam have some degree of real-world Lean Six Sigma work experience.

Simplilearn Certification
Simplilearn offers two levels of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification – Technical and Functional. The Technical Certification is offered after the trainee completes 85% of the course and passes the LSSBB Certification Examination with a minimum of 60% score.
After the certification, the trainee should submit a full-scale live DMAIC project for case review by the LSSBB faculty. Upon completion of the successful review, the trainee will be provided with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Functional Certification.
A typical full-scale DMAIC LSSBB project would take 8-9 months (1st Phase) to complete and the LSSBB must be able to show a projected savings of at least $200,000 from the project.
IASSC Certification:
Exam fee is included for all countries except India, Indian subcontinent, and Africa.The candidate can get certified from IASSC in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt by appearing for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt exam and achieving a minimum score of 70%. Upon achieving this, the candidate will receive a Certificate, suitable for framing, issued by the IASSC.
The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam™ is a proctored exam that lasts for four hours.
It's a closed book exam with 150 questions, and could include up to 15 extra non-graded questions. The exam consists of 30 multiple choice and true/false questions from each major section of the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge.
A minimum of 580 points, out of a total of 750, is required to pass the exam.
