At ILX, we're expanding our global marketing activity, and looking for a Content Marketing Executive to join our growing team. The marketing team was based in Bracknell before the pandemic hit. We will soon be moving to a hybrid working model when we return to the office in the new year, but for now we are now a fully distributed workforce, with all team members currently working from home.

What will you be doing?

The Content Marketing Executive is responsible for writing copy for all types of marketing activity and sales collateral, for both B2B and B2C audiences. We're looking for someone who loves words, and has meticulous attention to detail when it comes to spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Day-to-day activity will include:

  • Drafting copy for a high volume of weekly marketing emails for a wide range of geographical territories, promoting our training courses, blogs, podcasts and webinars
  • Planning, scheduling and running the monthly calendar of live webinars
  • Creating sales collateral such as flyers and brochures
  • Writing content pieces, such as blogs, social posts and web pages
  • Working in close collaboration with our web agency to improve the website UX
  • Work with the rest of the marketing team to plan, execute, and measure our integrated digital marketing campaigns

Desired skills and experience

We're looking for an enthusiastic team player, ideally with at least 1 years' experience working in a similar marketing role, or a fast learner who has excellent written skills.

You will be working closely with all members of the marketing team and our web agency on a daily basis. You will also need to collaborate with internal stakeholders within our sales and operations teams, to ensure campaigns are fully aligned across the business, and to maximise channels and sales integration.

Our perfect candidate will have faultless written English, to draft compelling copy for digital, social and e-marketing activity. We're looking for someone with incredible attention to detail and excellent organisational skills — you will need to have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload effectively!

We offer a wide range of accredited learning courses, including PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, Scrum, MSP, ITIL 4, APM:PFQ and PMQ, PMI:CAPM and PMP, Agile PM, AgileBA, Lean Six Sigma and Software Testing.

ILX provides German-language PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile and ITIL 4 accredited training, selling into Germany and other German-speaking countries. Over recent years, this has been a significant growth area for ILX and one in which we see opportunities for further expansion. Extending our international reach, we are now looking to develop a similar suite of self-paced digital courses in Polish so we can replicate that growth in other national markets where Project Management is a growing career.

About the role

A Consumer Training Advisor is responsible for individual course bookings. Our courses can be taken in the classroom or virtually, as a scheduled public event, or as a self-paced digital course, where a 12-month licence is issued, to allow for learning to be done over an extended timeframe. ILX also recommends a blended option, where the customer can take their Foundation course digitally and the Practitioner course is taken in the classroom or virtually.

Training can be self-funded or paid for by the learner’s company. The booking/payment is made either by the customer on the website, or by the salesperson who takes their details and books it on our internal system.

The Consumer Training Advisor can take up to three bookings per transaction; above this number it is passed over to Corporate Sales, to try and upsell to a company-wide training package.

Essentially, the Consumer Training Advisor for Germany and Poland role is reactive, responding to incoming leads created by Marketing: quote requests, downloads, contact us forms, online chats, webinar leads etc.

The main objective is to respond as quickly as possible, advise what course is best suited to the customer’s needs and close/win the lead at the most profitable price.

Consumer Sales are responsible for managing the online chat for all our websites. Online chat enables visitors to our website to submit questions to which we aim to reply as helpfully as possible to efficiently secure a booking.

The Consumer Sales team puts through a high volume of transactions daily and efficiently respond to leads generated throughout the month.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Following up all in-bound enquiries and leads
  • Follow up on ILXGROUP.COM, PRINCE2.COM and ITILTRAINING.COM website traffic, downloads, information requests and customer feedback requests; on an individual basis
  • Advising and answering questions on live chat on all three websites, with a view to getting commitment
  • Taking payment and processing orders
  • Take incoming sales calls
  • Making proactive outbound calls including targeted email campaigns
  • Advising clients of the options available across our portfolio of training products
  • Working collaboratively as part of the Consumer Team
  • Providing first-class customer service over the phone, email, online
  • Being responsive to the needs of all ILX enquirers
  • Keeping abreast of new developments within both the ILX Group and the wider Best Practice Market
  • Receiving and answering verbal and written queries received from clients and internal staff in a timely manner
  • Working with Operations to ensure we are fulfilling the customers’ needs, post-sales
  • Working with Marketing so all campaigns continue to generate interest and drive sales
  • Send accurate weekly forecast to Sales Director

Job summary

We have achieved impressive growth (+50%) in our German territory, driven primarily by sales to indiviudals. To capitalise on this growth we are now looking for an experienced German-speaking sales professional with a background of selling IT training or/and learning and development solutions into German businesses. Globally, corporate sales account for 60% of ILX’s overall revenue, and it forms a fundamental part of our proposition in the market and future strategy.

We are looking for a candidate who is entrepreneurial, ambitious, self-motivated and driven, with the capability to strategically manage and grow our German territory. The role is ideal for someone who has at least 5 years’ experience of selling complex learning solutions and dealing with clients at C-suite level. For someone looking for a challenge and with the skill set to thrive, this really does present an excellent opportunity and could not come at a better time.

The role is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week. Ideally we are looking for candidates based in either Germany/Austria/Switzerland or the UK, able to speak both German and English fluently. Any additional languages (Dutch, Spanish, French) would be a bonus.

Responsibilities and duties

The Business Development Director for Germany, will be responsible for setting the German territory sales strategy; leading all corporate sales and client-relationship management, tracking new markets and emerging trends, recommending new products and services, proposing and developing new strategic partnerships, writing proposals and plans, and guiding long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements.

It is anticipated that much of the growth will come from new business acquisition. Each and every ILX online and individual booking provides a lead source and way into opening up new corporate business opportunities for ILX in Germany. Lead generation activity will include German market-specific targeted marketing campaigns.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Consumer Sales Executive for Germany & Netherlands, and together will have a German sales and GP target to deliver. The BDD will report directly into the UK Sales Director and work alongside the UK corporate sales team.

Using Salesforce, the successful candidate will be responsible for their pipeline, forecast management, and managing their business by inputting and tracking sales activity using this tool.

  • Set and execute a sales strategy for German market
  • Prospect for potential new clients and convert this into new business
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network

  • Prepare, and create compelling pitches/presentations
  • Responsible for pricing the solution/service
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Selling the complete range of ILX services: e-learning, classroom, virtual, blended, enterprise licence solutions, role-based learning paths, curriculum learning paths.
  • Work with Bid Manager in responding to RFIs and RFPs / tenders
  • Manage relationships at all levels in the account development process
  • Negotiate viable packages that protect margins
  • Use Salesforce, and update relevant information held in this system
  • Responsible for managing and submitting weekly forecast, and managing pipeline of business within Salesforce
  • Work with German Sales Executive to grow German sales in all channels,
