Is this course aligned with certification?

Yes. The course aligns with the LPI Linux Essentials syllabus and supports LPIC-1 preparation. It includes practical exercises covering commands, file systems, and permissions. While the exam isn’t included, the course provides a solid foundation for further study, and guidance is available for your next certification steps. 

Will I learn how to use vi/Vim?

Yes. You’ll gain hands-on experience using vi and Vim to edit configuration files, search and replace text, and navigate content efficiently. These essential tools support scripting, data handling and system configuration, giving you the skills to manage files and troubleshoot issues effectively in real-world Linux environments. 

Do I need any prior experience?

No previous Linux knowledge is required. The course starts from the basics and builds your skills through guided instruction and live labs. While general IT familiarity is helpful, full trainer support and real-time demonstrations ensure you can follow along and succeed, even if you're completely new to Linux. 

Will I be able to write shell scripts?

While this course introduces basic shell logic and command chaining it doesn’t cover full script writing. However, it builds essential syntax knowledge and command-line confidence, which is ideal preparation for our follow-up Linux Shell Programming course, where you’ll learn to automate tasks and develop practical scripting skills in depth. 

What kind of support will I receive?

You’ll receive expert instructor support during the course, plus technical help throughout. Learning materials and exercises are provided for post-session review.
