About the course

Project Planning & Control supports the publication of the APM's guide, ‘Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring and Control – The Practical Project Management of Time, Cost and Risk.’

It provides guidance and best practice for project planning and control and is applicable across all industries and sectors. A successful Practitioner candidate will have demonstrated that they have achieved sufficient understanding of the theory and application of the tools and techniques to allow them to work successfully in a Project Support team environment.

Duration

It is expected to take approximately 17 hours to complete this learning.

Pre-requisites

It is recommended that a Practitioner candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience in a planning and monitoring role. In addition, you must have passed the PPC Foundation exam prior to undertaking the Practitioner examination.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, you should be able to use, interpret or assess:

  • The approaches and key products used to gain a clear definition of a project
  • The approaches and techniques used to plan and close a project
  • The scheduling techniques and appropriate presentation of the outputs
  • The management of risk in the planning, execution and evaluation of a project
  • The practices and data used for rigorous monitoring to enable proactive control of the project
  • 12 months online access to accredited ILX PPC Practitioner e-learning
  • PPC Practitioner exam - Valid for 12 months from purchase date. Exam must be taken online via remote proctor
  • Full ILX tutor support
