About the course

Our PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner course enables you to benefit from PRINCE2 Agile’s guidance on delivering, managing and working within agile projects and project teams, without the need for any prior knowledge of PRINCE2®. To pass the Foundation exam, you will need to demonstrate sufficient recall and understanding of the PRINCE2 Agile project management method; whereas the Practitioner exam will assess your ability to apply this understanding of the method in context.

Duration

This is an intensive five day course that helps prepare delegates for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Materials

Hardcopy ILX course material: You will be provided with a printed version of the ILX course material. This will be issued on day one of your course.

Digital and hardcopy official manual: You will be given access to both a digital and hardcopy version of the official manual. The hardcopy will be issued on day one of your course with your course material. For the digital version you will be sent an email invitation approximately two working days prior to course commencement to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered you will be able to access the digital version of your manual. Please note: There is a 5-year limitation in accessing your eBook.

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. You will be sent an email invitation approximately two working days prior to course commencement to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered you will be able to book your online exam at a date and time of your choice. You are responsible for booking your own exam. Please note: We would like to inform you that during open book exams candidates can use only official hard copy books or softcopy e-books available only through VitalSource on a secondary device. 

Recertification: This certification has a renew within three years of the award date to remain current. There are multiple ways to recertify, more information regarding the options can be found here.

Exam format

The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

  • 60 minutes
  • Multiple-choice
  • 50 questions, each worth one mark
  • 28 marks or more, out of 50 questions, required to pass – 55% pass mark
  • Closed book

The format of the Practitioner exam is as follows:

  • Objective testing
  • 50 questions, each worth one mark
  • 30 marks or more, out of 50 questions, required to pass – 60% pass mark
  • Two-and-a-half hours’ (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
  • Open book exam (official PRINCE2 Agile guide only)

There are no formal pre-requisites for taking the Foundation exam.

In order to take the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam, a candidate must hold any of the following certifications:

  • PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
  • PRINCE2 Foundation
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)®
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®
  • IPMA Level A® (Certified Projects Director)
  • IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager)
  • IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager)
  • IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate)

Pre-course

IMPORTANT: There is some mandatory pre-course reading and online learning that must be undertaken prior to attending this course. Please ensure you allow time to complete this in full prior to your attendance , it is expected that it will take approximately eight to ten hours to complete. In addition, whilst attending your course there will also be some examination preparation evening work.
