The M_o_R guidance covers a wide range of topics, including business continuity management, security, project/programme risk management and operational service management. These topics need to be placed into the context of an organisational framework for the management of risk. Some related topics such as security are highly specialised and the M_o_R guidance only provides an overview of such aspects.
It is now becoming increasingly evident that to support and complement both of these approaches, organisations require a professional, well-structured approach to the Management of Risk (M_o_R). Awareness of how risk is managed is essential when making informed decisions with regard to change initiatives that will improve your organisations performance. Effective management of risk is absolutely critical to organisational success at all levels.
There is some pre-course reading and activities to complete which will be sent prior to the event. During the event there will be some examination preparation evening work to complete.
