Target audience

CISA training is essential for professionals dealing with controlling, monitoring, and assessing an organization’s information technology and business systems. This includes:

  • IS/IT auditors/consultants

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites to do this course or to take the exam (not included with this product).

However, there are pre-requisites to earning the CISA certification, which needs to be done through the ISACA

To get your CISA certification, you need to:

  • Submit the complete application within five years from the date of initially passing the examination
  • Get all the experience you’ve listed verified by your employers. The experience should have been gained within the 10-year period preceding the date of application, or within five years of passing the examination.

You will then need to submit a certification application to the ISACA. You will need to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of professional information systems auditing, control or security work experience. Substitutions and waivers of such experience, to a maximum of 3 years, may be obtained – full details are on the ISACA website.

Exam information

The CISA exam is not included with this course, but you will receive a course completion certificate once you have:

  • Completed 85% of the course
  • Completed one simulation test with a minimum score of 60%

If you would like to take the official exam, you will need to register with the ISACA, and there is an Exam Candidate Guide available on their website to guide you through the process.

To become CISA certified you will need to successfully pass the exam, meet the necessary work experience requirements and then submit an application to the ISACA. You will need to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of professional information systems auditing, control or security work experience. Substitutions and waivers of such experience, to a maximum of 3 years, may be obtained – full details are on the ISACA website.
