Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® E-learning

The ILX CAPM e-learning is based on the Project Management Institute's, 'A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 6th Edition'. Students view and review e-learning sessions, complete a range of interactive exercises in each session, and test themselves with a range of multiple-choice format questions. These questions are based on typical questions in the CAPM examination. This e-learning is aligned to the PMBOK Guide – Sixth Edition.

Duration

The actual study time is approximately 23 hours - 25 hours.

Pre-requisites

The CAPM exam is not included with this course.

You have to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI)® before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol as they have to authenticate that the pre-requisite criteria has been met prior to exam attendance. In order to understand the PMI process we recommend you review the CAPM handbook on the PMI website.

Pre-requisites

To apply for the CAPM examination, you need to have:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam

At the conclusion of the course students will:

  • Have sufficient knowledge and understanding to work as an informed member of a project team undertaking a variety of project management roles
  • Be able to examine and analyse the inputs, tools and techniques of the processes and knowledge areas of the PMBOK® Guide
  • Fulfil the eligibility requirement for the CAPM examination to complete the required 23 contact hours of formal education
  • Be able to describe each process group and knowledge area of the PMBOK® Guide
  • 12 months online access to accredited ILX CAPM e-learning

  • 150 multiple-choice questions. Of the 150 questions, 15 are considered pretest questions. Pretest questions do not affect the score and are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate way to test the validity of future examination questions. All questions are placed throughout the examination randomly
  • Three hour duration

To maintain your CAPM, you must retake the exam every five years.
