About the course

The Agile Business Analyst (AgileBA) certification demonstrates that you have the skills needed to be an effective business analyst working in an agile project team. This three day virtual classroom course helps prepare you for the Foundation examination taken on the afternoon of day three.

By the end of the Foundation-level qualification you should have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Agile Business Analysis guidance to be able to recognise and distinguish between the key elements of the approach.

What is virtual classroom training?

ILX’s virtual instructor-led training combines the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner.

Duration

This is an intensive three-day course that prepares you for the AgileBA Foundation examination. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found on our website here.

Pre-requisites

There are no formal qualification pre-requisites for attending the AgileBA Foundation course.

Learning objectives

By the end of the Foundation element of this course you should understand the key principles and terminology within Agile Business Analysis guidance. Specifically,

  • The underpinning philosophy and principles of Agile
  • The processes within an Agile project, including alternative configurations
  • The products produced during an Agile project and their purpose
  • The practices used and their benefits and limitations
  • The people within an Agile project.

This is an intensive three-day virtual course that includes:

  • All accompanying course material
  • The cost of the AgileBA Foundation examination (must be taken online via remote proctor within 12 months of purchase)
  • The official AgileBA handbook

Target audience

This qualification is aimed at: 

  • Practising Business Analysts
  • Agile team members who wish to become Agile Business Analysts

There is no mandatory pre-course for this course however there will be some evening work.

HOW YOU TAKE YOUR EXAM

The exam is taken online via remote proctor. Two weeks prior to course commencement ILX will arrange for an exam voucher to be issued. You then have a choice you can either:

  • Book a suitable time after your virtual classroom event has finished to undertake your exam

OR

  • We currently allocate exam time within the virtual classroom event. So that you can book directly, we will advise you of recommended exam timings as part of the candidate guidance — this is issued three weeks prior to course commencement

Note: You are responsible for booking your own exam.

Exam format

  • Multiple choice
  • 50 questions per paper
  • 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 50%
  • 40-minute duration
  • Closed book
