ILX launches UK APMG-International 'Change Management' courses to help organisations better manage business transformation

...Classroom courses available from 24th October 2014 in London, Birmingham and Nantwich...

LONDON – Tuesday 16th September 2014 – ILX, the global Best Practice learning company, has announced that it will launch a new series of classroom based APMG-International Change Management Practitioner and Foundation level courses from the 24th October 2014. The Change Management qualification will help to manage the effects ‘change’ and the impact change can have on all organisations.

The Change Management qualification Foundation and Practitioner levels are based on four modules, dealing with the theories of how change impacts on and is affected by: the individual, the team, the organisation and the Change Leader.

The Foundation qualification is aimed at individuals who are involved in change programmes or organisations going through change and personnel who require a working knowledge of the key principles of change management.  It is also the introduction to the higher level Practitioner qualification and therefore includes all those who are the target audience for that qualification.

The Practitioner qualification is aimed at Change Managers and aspiring Change Managers. It is relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of change programmes, including Change leaders, Business Change Managers, Programme and Project Managers, Change Support Staff and Operational Line Managers.

Andy West, Consultant at ILX Group explains, “Change management can encompass a wide range of activities such as the launch of a new product or service, integrating staff following a corporate merger or acquisition, or global expansion into other territories.  Getting the right process and emotional buy-in is critical for success. Our course aims to help organisations to minimise the risk of failure and to determine a positive outcome by taking into account the complex cultural, individual and organisational factors that are likely to affect change.”

West adds, “At an individual level the course will help to apply the appropriate theory for an organisation’s specific needs, and help to take people through the various phases of transition and to lead change more effectively with less resistance.  At an organisational level, the course will help reduce delay during periods of organisational transformation by maintaining productivity and reducing costs. The course also complements established, process driven methods such as PRINCE2 and MSP to develop a holistic picture of change.”

The ILX Change Management course is available from the 24th October 2014 in a classroom format across London, Birmingham, and Nantwich (UK):

  • Foundation level:  Three days with Foundation Exam on the afternoon of day three
  • Practitioner level : Two days with Practitioner exam on the afternoon of day two
  • Foundation and Practitioner levels:  Five days with Foundation exam on the afternoon of day three and the Practitioner exam on the afternoon of day five.
