Want peace of mind if your first exam attempt is unsuccessful? Our Take² and Pass Protect exam resit products enable you to resit your exam at a fraction of the normal cost.

Pass Protect

If you are unsuccessful in your first exam attempt, Pass Protect will allow you to request a free resit. Pass Protect is available only at point of purchase and will be detailed as a product line on your order confirmation.

How do I make a Pass Protect claim?

Once you have received your official exam results, please forward a copy by email to passprotect@ilxgroup.com requesting your Pass Protect exam. You will need to quote your ILX order reference number, which can be found on your original invoice. All Pass Protect claims must be submitted within three months of the date of the initial exam.

Once issued, your Pass Protect exam voucher remains valid for 12 months giving you time to prepare for your next exam and to book the resit. This 12-month period only applies to Pass Protect – if you purchased eLearning from ILX, it does not extend the term of your original learning licence.

Please be aware, resits are only available via online proctor.

Terms and conditions

Pass Protect is an add-on service that becomes available only when the initial exam linked to it has a “fail” result, the original course has been completed in full and, for eLearning customers, the required mark in the exam simulator has been achieved
Pass Protect is not transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, even if it isn't eventually used. Candidates must schedule and take the resit exam within 12 months from the date the replacement exam voucher is issued
Pass Protect is exam-specific; it cannot be used for any other offering and is valid only for the exam originally purchased
Failure to show up for a scheduled Pass Protect exam appointment will forfeit your right to use the Pass Protect voucher. If you need to reschedule, please get in touch ahead of your booked exam date to ensure you remain within the terms of this exam resit service
Pass Protect is not available for purchase after a failed exam

Take²

Take² is an insurance policy providing one resit for each exam that the cover is purchased for. Available at the point of purchase, Take² is provided by PeopleCert.

How do I make a Take² claim?

If you are unsuccessful with your first exam, then the resit option is enabled. When the official exam results are released, you will be notified by email to schedule your resit exam. This will be enabled in your PeopleCert portal and is visible in your candidate profile.

You have up to six months to prepare and take your resit from the date of the initial exam. This period only applies to Take² and if you purchased eLearning from ILX it does not extend the term of your original learning licence.

Resits are only available via online proctor.

What is the difference between Pass Protect and Take²?

The Take² exam resit service only applies to PeopleCert certifications, this includes, but is not limited to, PRINCE2®, MSP®, MoP®, M_o_R® and ITIL®. Pass Protect is an ILX product that covers all our other available certifications that are assessed by a final exam.

If I don't select Pass Protect or Take² as part of my original order, can I purchase it from ILX at a later stage?

No, both our Pass Protect and Take² exam insurance options are only available from ILX at the original point of purchase.
