About the course

Students view and review e-learning sessions, complete a range of interactive exercises in each session and test themselves with a range of multiple-choice format questions. These questions are based on typical questions in the CAPM examination.

This course will provide students with sufficient knowledge and understanding to work as an informed member of a project team and help prepare participants for the CAPM examination.

 

Duration

The actual study time is approximately 23 hours - 25 hours.

The CAPM exam is not included with this course.

​Exam format

  • 150 multiple-choice questions. Of the 150 questions, 15 are considered pretest questions. Pretest questions do not affect the score and are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate way to test the validity of future examination questions. All questions are placed throughout the examination randomly
  • Three hour duration

To maintain your CAPM, you must retake the exam every five years.

This qualification is for those delegates who are looking to start or add project management skills into their current role, or for those who want to manage larger projects and gain more responsibility.

 

The CAPM exam is not included with this course.

You have to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI)® before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol as they have to authenticate that the pre-requisite criteria has been met prior to exam attendance. In order to understand the PMI process we recommend you review the CAPM handbook on the PMI website.

Pre-requisites

If you are considering taking the exam the examination pre-requisites are as follows:

  • Have a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED (general educational development), or global equivalent
  • Have at least 23 contact hours of project management education completed before the exam
