Management of Risk (M_o_R)® is a generic framework for the management of risk across all parts of an organisation — strategic, programme, project and operational. It incorporates all the activities required to identify and control the exposure to any type of risk, positive or negative, which may have an impact on the achievement of your organisation’s business objectives.
The purpose of the Foundation qualification is to confirm that a you have the necessary knowledge and understanding to contribute to the identification, assessment and control of risks across any organisational perspective. While the Practitioner qualification will ensure you have achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor M_o_R in a scenario situation.
What is virtual training?
Virtual training incorporates both the personal teaching experience of a classroom, with the ease and flexibility of a virtual environment. Our virtual courses are interactive and engaging, allowing participants to communicate with both the instructor and each other in a collaborative manner. This is an intensive five-day course that prepares you for the M_o_R Foundation and Practitioner examinations. The training is conducted via a virtual training environment. You need to ensure that you can satisfy the technical requirements that can be found here. In addition, whilst attending your course, there will also be some examination preparation evening work.

A concentrated course that requires you to complete mandatory online pre-course study, which is designed to take approximately 6–8 hours to complete. Full instructions with a link to the online pre-course will be issued within 48 hours of your confirmed booking.

Candidates may make use of the Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners (the Management of Risk ‘guide’), together with the ABC Guide Part A Example Techniques guidance document. No material other than the question booklet, the scenario booklet, the answer booklet and the two guides is to be used.
