UK Giant Makes Its Mark In Australia
ILX Group (ILX), one of the world’s leading technology based business training companies has stamped its authority very quickly on the Australian market place by securing several lucrative contracts within its first 18 months of operation.
Some of the major contract wins included the Australian Electoral Commission, Fujitsu, AusAID, Australian Bureau of Statistics, Melbourne University, Griffith University, Curtin University, Department of Climate Change, Project Services Queensland Department of Public Works, National E-Health Transitional Authority and Bravura Solutions.
Michelle Phillips, ILX Group Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand said:
ILX had been considering the Australian market for a few years before we decided to establish a permanent presence here last year. This move has paid dividends as government departments, corporate companies and individuals embrace the opportunity to obtain project and programme management qualifications via an e-learning or blended learning approach."
"ILX has brought a unique training environment to the Asia Pacific region. Over 2,000 people are now using the company’s services throughout Australia. Consultants looking to up skill have undertaken qualifications with ILX. Government departments recently strongly endorsed staff undertaking best practice methods, such as MSP and PRINCE2, and P3M3 qualifications. This has impacted on senior personnel looking for opportunities to raise their project and programme management qualifications, further driving demand for ILX’s courses.
"Within the next 12 months, ILX is planning to open two new offices across Australia and New Zealand to cope with demand for its services and is currently on a recruitment drive to accommodate its projected ongoing growth. Soon it will also expand further into the Asia Pacific region, with the aim of becoming the largest best practice training provider in this region."
ILX’s turnover for the six months ended 30 September 2011 reached $1.8 million and is on track to achieve an estimated $4 million this financial year.
The release of the Gershon report by the Australian government in 2008 provided the impetus for government departments and private companies to pursue PRINCE2 project management qualifications in this country. Australia is now the third largest market in the world for this accredited project management training qualification behind the UK and Holland. Significantly, ILX is now the largest provider of PRINCE2 qualifications globally. The company is also the fastest growing APMG accredited training organisation in the Asia Pacific.
ILX is known globally as a company that delivers cutting-edge training solutions, often blending classroom and e-learning in a flexible and dynamic technology environment. Australia, being an advanced training market, has strongly embraced the emerging technologies ILX delivers.
The company’s flexibility of delivery, course pass rates and focus on customer service has provided the platform for ILX’s ongoing success and expansion. The innovative use of technology in training has given ILX some of the industry’s highest examination pass rates.
Within the next five years, ILX plans to expand its presence in the Asia Pacific, Emirates, Middle Eastern and South African regions.
The company currently services over 5,000 clients across 97 countries.
