Course Overview

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the second of two PRINCE2 examinations that you are required to pass to gain the full PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification. This course assesses whether a candidate would be able to apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2. To this end candidates need to exhibit the knowledge required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tailor PRINCE2 appropriately to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario. This course conforms to the syllabus for those delegates wishing to gain Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner level certification.

Course Content

This course provides candidates with:

• ILX Group’s unique ‘Preparing for the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination’ workbook, providing sample practitioner examination papers and marking guidelines.
• A review of the entire method, consolidating understanding and addressing any areas of concern.
• Syndicate and individual scenario based exercises, designed to focus candidates on the application of the PRINCE2 method.

There is some pre-course reading and activity to complete which will be sent prior to the event. During the event there will be some examination preparation evening work to complete.

Duration

This is a two-day course leading to the PRINCE2 Practitioner Examination, which is scheduled to take place on the final day. In-house events may vary in duration according to client requirements.

Pre-Requisites

Delegates will require a comprehensive understanding of PRINCE2 and to have successfully completed the PRINCE2 Foundation level certification.

Accreditation

The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam will be taken during the course.

PRINCE2 Practitioner exam structure:

• A scenario-based objective testing exam
• Nine complex multiple-choice questions
• 12 marks available per question
• Minimum of 59 out of 108 required to pass (55%)
• Two and a half hour duration
• Open book; only the PRINCE2 manual is allowed
