Board Appointment

ILX Group, the AIM quoted vocational education and training specialist, today announces the appointment of Mr. Paul Virik, aged 57, as a non executive director of ILX Group plc with immediate effect.

Mr. Virik brings with him a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years leading a broad range of professional and business to business publishing operations across Reed Elsevier in the UK and US.

His experience spans magazine publishing, conferences, exhibitions, directories and major internet developments. He has led operations across diverse markets including IT, Agriculture, Aviation, Social Work, Legal, Electronics, Hospitality, Human Resources, and Construction. His focus has always been on long term sustainable market leadership through teamwork, innovation and customer focus.

Mr Virik was Managing Director of Reed Business Publishing, CEO of OAG, and CEO of Butterworths legal publishing until leaving in 2003 to fulfil sailing and travelling ambitions.

There are no other details to be disclosed of directorships held by Mr. Virik in any other company at any time in the previous five years. There are no further disclosures to be made according to Schedule 2 (paragraph (g)) of the AIM Rules.

Board Resignation

John Davies has resigned as a non-executive director. He has been on the board since the company floated in 2000.
